Stepping Stones Childcare offers a full range of Daycare, Nursery School, Summer Camp as well as before and after school programs. Shelly Mitchell, the Program Director, is a Qualified, Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with 27 years of experience in helping children develop their full potential.
HIMAMA
Shelly is pleased to announce that she has launched a new and exciting program called HiMama.
What is the HiMama Program?
HiMama is used by our teachers to record activities on their tablets as they happen throughout the day to keep you informed on everything from nutritional information to fun moments and learning activities.
It will provide you with real-time email updates and access to a complete history of your child's experience in our program with photos stored safely and securely in a journal format that you can access from home or through mobile apps.
What does this mean for me?
HiMama will keep you informed by providing you with digital updates on your child to complement our important face-to-face interactions. It's also a great way to reinforce your child's in-program learning at home as you'll have timely insight into what they've been working on throughout the day.
Childcare
Stepping Stones Childcare believes that all children learn through PLAY. Through setting a stage to play, children are able to explore their environment with RECE teachers facilitating their development of skills and concepts along with social and emotional growth. A solid foundation instills the confidence in children to learn about other people and the world around them.
Parents are able to carry on their busy day knowing that their precious child is in a safe stimulating environment and participating in activities that stimulate fine and gross motor skills, sensory development, cognitive, social, language and intellectual development. With teachers assisting with problem solving and resolution skills children build their self-esteem and develop bonding friendships.
Stepping Stones Childcare Centre accepts children from 12 months to 12 years of age. The Centre is open from 6:45 am until 6:15 pm and provides After School Care for Birchview and St. Noel Schools. Breakfast, lunch and a pm snack are provided. To inquire about available subsidies please call 705-429-1221.
Fully Licensed
Stepping Stones Childcare is fully licensed by the Ministry of Education/County of Simcoe Children's Services and their license is renewed yearly after a full inspection from the Ministry of Health and Fire Inspectors.
